Many of our products are approved as organic inputs.
However, even if one our products is not organically approved, we always ensure that it will be ‘biorational’. This means that a product works with the soil microflora and microbiome (microbes) to help plants grow. In order to confirm this, we test the products in our microbiology lab to ensure that they have no biocidal activity.
We test all our products on model crop species. These tests give us the confidence that our products will work when used on your farm.
We start in the laboratory with small micropropagated plants, which are then moved to the hydroponic system, then to the glasshouse. The final round of testing involves trialling the products on real crops in the field on partner farms.
